The Festival of Flight Board of Directors commissioned area artist, Tom Grubb, to create an image that would depict the history of flight and be used to promote the festival. Tom Grubb Celestial Art in association with Festival of Flight 2003 offers this special limited-edition reproduction titled, Flights of Discovery.

Flights of Discovery is a mixed media collage construction that utilized bamboo, string, watercolor and ink on parchment paper. The two images used in the work, the Wright brothers' plane and the Space Shuttle, mark the two greatest achievements in the history of flight.
